10.3.2 Installation and electrical connection

The pin assignments/wire colors for the connection cables of the parameter memory are

shown in the following tables:

supply voltage, Page 5-18 and connect the cables to the CBD420 or CDM490 Connec-

tion Module or to the non-SICK power supply.

10.3.3 Operation

The parameter memory in the connector cover connected to the CLV490 is accessed

• using the selected CLV490 start option

• after the parameters have been downloaded to the CLV490 with the permanent stora-

ge function and the S

EVICE CONFIGURATION tab as shown in

Fig. 10-32 (grey frame). The S

TART WITH EXTERNAL PARAMETERS option is selected by default.

Start with internal parameters

When it starts, the CLV490 loads the internal parameter set to its RAM.

The "Device Ready" LED lights up constantly.

Since the data is stored permanently, it is not lost when the device is switched off.
